Make important content available in the page
Visitors and crawlers should be able to read your main text and follow normal links. Give every published page a clear heading, a useful title and a description that reflects its actual content. Do not reuse one description across the whole site.
Use one production URL per page
Choose the preferred domain and HTTPS version. Canonical links and sitemap URLs should use that same origin. Redirect old paths deliberately, and check that missing pages return a real 404 status.
Review crawl and indexing controls
Staging pages often need noindex. Production service pages normally should not. Check robots.txt, meta robots and any X-Robots-Tag headers together. Do not accidentally block your image directory.
Describe images in context
Use readable filenames and alt text that explains the image where it appears. Add captions when they help the reader. Set dimensions, compress files and use normal image URLs. Alt text is not a place to list unrelated keywords.
Verify the domain after launch
Once the production domain is accessible, verify Search Console and submit the sitemap. Review indexing reports and important URLs. Sitemap submission supports discovery; it does not guarantee that Google will index or rank every page.
